What does the sock say? ;)

Hello everybody and I am about to tell you a secret:

I am in love with socks.
(before anyone jumps to conclusions: no, not in the weird way.;)

I have all kinds of socks, thick ones and thin ones, made out of camel wool, milk yarn, palm tree, wool, and -of course- cotton. The colour range covers everything from washed out white to deep purple and i have crazy-sock-day 7 days a week- not because I am such a mess, but mostly because I like to look down on my feet and see something funny. :)

My sock drawer is in fact not one drawer but three. There is only one thing that bugs me (yes, bugs, in fact BUGGS might be the right word): Even though all socks in the drawers are clean, there is always an unpleasant smell in it. Locked up air mixed with dust. To change that, I created this very traditional product, that probably already our grandmas used:

A small pillow, filled with the smell of lavender, reminding of a warm summer in Greece every time i take
out a fresh  pair of socks.

The bugs became my partners in crime to make some unique and modern lavenderpillows. :)

Note for barefoot people: They go great in travellingbags to
keep your clothes fresh. -

And today my little new friends got to join to the Turku Christmasmarket (which will be taking place even
tomorrow and the two upcoming weekends, so come and see if you are in the area) where many of them found new homes. And one customer told me, that she had a lavenderbag at home that she purchased in the
70s which still smelled good when she rubbed it.

Another lady told me how happy she was to have found something that she could give to her husband- along with the typical every-year-present-for-men: socks! :)

3...2...1... ACTION!!!

Here we go, this is where it all begins! Let`s just jump in head first and kickstart with our product number one! I proudly present: Mr. Bear!

Mr. Bear, photographed by Riku Kankaro

He is not too big and not too small, always smiling and happily watching you from his favourite spot. He loves to hang out on sofas and armchairs, but may also sit on a bed, a bench or in a kid`s room. The handsome fellow is easy going and very fast in becoming friends with grown ups and children. Oh, and one thing is for sure: Would you happen to fall for that smile and tell him your secrets, there is nothing to worry about. He will surely keep them safe!

PS: He might just look amazing under a christmastree. ;)
