The beauty of viking grace

When i came back from sweden the other day, i went by a very beautiful boat- the fabulous viking grace! for us people here in Turku it is really nothing special to hop on a boat and go over to our neighbour country. But if you are from somewhere where you don`t see water every day you might wanna have a sneak peak. :)

Viking Grace is a brandnew boat that started to traffic in 2013. I don`t know much about boats but i do know that the interior of this one is FANTASTIC. The small details are actually the ones that impress me the most.

to take pictures i waited until we almost reached the land, cause i figured it would be easier with no people running around. here it was a shame though, since those huge "lamps" actually go up and down and switch colors all the time (except for shortly before arrival).

a small wow-factor in the hallway...

...and even the trash matches ;)

and HELLO BEAUTIFUL!!!! this chair is the most beautiful piece i can imagine!! please
santa (or husband, wink wink!), it`ll be worth it to be nice all year for one of those. ;)

wow!!!

and how about this floor? :)

happy friday everyone!!! :)

The moose print

It is monday morning and time for a new print! :)

I made this one a while ago but have had so many things going on that i`ve barely had time to scan my new prints. This is the first one out of two, that are new in the forest-collection.

There is a big window in our living room, that is  higher up than usual windows.  If you lie down on the sofa you can look up to the treetops. I enjoy doing that, watching birds and squirrels and let my thoughts go free. Next to that window is a door that leads to our garden.

One day when I was lying on the sofa, i imagined what it would be like if a giant moose would look into the window.he would have come from the forest, crossed the river, looked out on the street and walked right over it. he would have taken a small step over our fence, as if it wasn`t there, walked right up to the window and he would have looked inside, curious what could be in this house.

When standing at the window, he would probably take a big step to the side, walk into the garden door, up to the living room table and eat the flowers. He would look around a bit and seem surprised seeing me.

As I was lying there, he all of a sudden felt real. And he looked excactly like on this print. :)

formex fair in stockholm!

husligheter elle se

Here i am, back to the blog and happy as usual. :)
I hope you all are having a nice weekend. Mine is great indeed! here i am, sitting in the beautiful city of stockholm, breathing in some swedish air and enjoying myself.

it actually was more of a businesstrip than a holiday, but i am very happy to be able to combine both. :)

i kickstarted the weekend with going to formex fair, the biggest interior fair in northern europe. it is only open for people working with design or anything related to it- and what should i say? it was amazing! i could feel in every bone of my body that i had been craving some fresh air with new trends, colours and a new spirit. and i didn`t get disappointed. of course there are always some things you don`t care to take a closer look at, but i was surprised how many truly beautiful new things there were. especially the isle they made for upcoming designers impressed me and i decided to take part next time, in case i get the chance.:)

unfortunately i was not allowed to take any pictures, but i borrowed some from a great blog called husligheter:

another hint: on http://blogg.nordicdesigncollective.se/ upcoming styles were explained very nicely. :)

yesterday i went fabric-and-stuffing-shopping  for an upcoming project and the amount of metres of fabric makes me all whimsy! nevertheless i am counting the days and getting really excited! :)

have a happy sunday evening everyone!

sweet,lazy day

Today is one of those days, when really nothing is happening. it is afternoon, i am still in my pygamas and the coffee mug gets from time to time a nice refill. I love those relaxed days, when you don`t need to go anywhere, and just take it easy.

the little bunny got extra happy today: we finally have snow! :)

the only ones being awake and alert today are our blowfish :)

zzzzz.... :)

sweet saturday to all of you!

... and in jumps a squirrelprint! :)

hello folks,

and sorry for being gone for a couple of days. Ive been busy like a bee, producing new products! A while it will still take until i can show them to you, but a sneak peak may show up soon! ;)

In the meantime my favourite squirrel started to jump off the pillow and onto thick, matte paper (the best kind of paper, if you ask me). And what can i tell you? it seems all happy there! happy squirrel= happy me! :)

A happy new year!!!

Yeey, and here it is: year 2014!!!

Let`s see how it will be. Hope for the best, expect the worst and live, love, laugh as much as possible! :)

We celebrated with the best of people and had a nice time, with a lot of food, wine and great company.

When I was engaged, I decided I wanted to have fireworks every year for our wedding-anniversary. My husband-to-be therefore wisely chose New Years Eave as weddingday. :D therefore we celebrated a bit extra during the day as well.
