We`re in "härligt hemma" magazine! :)

Hi everyone!

And hello hello from my summerbreak! Even though i really tried to keep up the blog during the summer- there has simply been no way! With aaaalll these awesome but time consuming summer activities that i will tell you everything about once i`m back to the mooncake office (yepps, it is mid of august and i am still up north in the forest), the blog has taken a break from the top priority list. 



BUT it is time to break the silence since i can proudly present you a magazine-feature :) :

This was in last weeks "härligt hemma" from aftonbladet, one of the biggest newspapers in sweden. And yes, we`re proud. ;)

midsummer and bags

Hello everyone!

Greetings from the great city of stockholm. i assume it is as great as usual, but i cannot be sure since
though i am here i haven`t set a foot outside in a couple of days.

The plan was great: we would come here and celebrate midsummer, have an awesome time in great weather and with nice people. but then everything changed because our little missy got sick and still is.



her fever has been around 40 for a while, and even though it now is quite low (low enough to watch cartoons all day), there is still no way of leaving the house, let alone take the boat back to finland. so here we are, stuck in my mother-in-laws apartment.

The good part about staying inside is that there is plenty of time for working. here is one example of what i`ve been up to, since transforming her kitchen into a workspace:

 

so those guys are gonna become cottonbags in perfect size for everything, that doesnt fit in your pockets. :)

I`ve made and sold those before, but this will be the first time they`ll be available online. :)

how nice it was, with my two-year-old coming running into the bedroom door, in her hands a mudcake, drowning in an ocean of cream, topped with strawberrys!! <3

I also managed to bite my lip and not say anything about the way the bed looked afterwards. ;) 
Am super grateful for washing machines! 

The other day i also got a manicure:

and who would not love that? :D

so far for the home-life. 

Workwise I am constantly making new prints and am soon ready to get them out there. i can only say so much: we`re gonna have a view into life of some tiny creatures, which i hope you`ll enjoy, AND we`re gonna be selling in sweden as well. :) so jippiee for upcoming times! :)

And colours. yes. some colours will be there, too. :)

green greener greenhouse!

Since we as a family are all into plants right now, we went for a little trip the other day, off to the Botanical Garden in Ruissalo. I did not have high expectations, but wow it was beautiful!!

They had a couple of different "greenhouse-rooms" which all had a different climate and atmosphere. All kinds of cool plants, flowers and palmtrees grew there and everywhere we looked we found something cool to watch.

 This plant with "rubberleaves" reminds me of the first time i went abroad to a warm country. I was four years old and one of the things that i still remember was how surprised i was about seeing plants like this one. i could not get enough of touching the leaves, wondering how something alive could feel so artificial and grow so beautifully at the same time. the second thing i remember is my endless joy about seeing all kinds of cats in every streetcorner. My version of heaven as a four-year-old. :)

this one was really cool. as soft as it looks!! Just felt for wrapping it around my neck and wear it as a scarf. ;)

 these waterplants were interesting as well. the one on the right had a very special kind of surface which made the water look like a pearl. it just stayed like that and if you touched it, it rolled down into the water.

30 years old!!

They also have a great outside-garden with lots of flowers. Since it is just the beginning of may and we`re in finland, not too much has started to flower yet, but i`m definitely returning in summer!

happy easter!

happy easter, everybody!! i wish you sunshine, awesome people to surround yourself with and a lot of sweet candy!! :)

about products, plants and bunnys :)

yesterday was one of these days when the little bunny needed some extra hugs. it had the flue. luckily little missy was there to take care of him. she offered him napkin after napkin, gave him lots of comforting kisses and hugged him very tightly. <3 I realized when looking at this pic that the lady herself looks a bit sad, which she wasn`t. only a combination of just-woken-up and feeling bad for her little bunny. ;)

today is a good day with sun and extra fast growing red pepper plants.

my husband is right now making a hell of a noise, building a growing station for our vegetables. We both love spring, when everything comes to life and flowers and leaves and everything starts to awake again after a long winter. our apartment is unfortunately not the place with the most of light, so the plants just don`t get enough of it.

Since we have three big aquariums and therefore even more unused aquariumparts, he is rebuilding an aquarium light to a plant-light. how cool isn`t that? i can`t wait to see our tomatoes grow in the kitchen! :)

So the Mooncake products are going to join a blog-event and i could not be more excited! A lot of bloggers are gonna gather and get the latest trends presented, such as wallpapers, posters, carpets and also pillows. 

Sitting here 400 kilometres away I have no possibility of jumping over for an afternoon, but i decided to send over some small things for the bloggers. It is always nice to give presents, almost as nice as receiving them. ;)

i am a handmade-kind-of-girl and therefore made decorative magnets for them.

I hope they like them. the magnets go great on fridges or a magnetic wall in a workspace. Somehow it was not my perfect day with the camera though, therefore the pix are a bit weird and blurry.

I also put them into small bags:

It was actually very cosy sitting at my desk in the evening, cutting and glueing and feeling in peace. <3 i hope that peace jumped with the products in the pack and that it is still there, silently smiling when the little envelopes arrive at the bloggers homes.
